Agile Mindset and Team Development

1. Ice-Breaking & Brainstorming Activity:

"Where Were We?"

An ice-breaking activity to get people to know each other through their reflection on the past events.

2. Introduction to the Agile High Performance Team

A talk on the fast-changing world, its impact, what is the agile high-performance team.

3. Workshop Activity:

The Entrepreneur, The Manager, and The Technician

A group discussion activity on the 3 roles that are necessary for leaders to develop an agile team, business cases, and tips for the development of the mindset

4. The 5 Phrase of Team Development

A talk on the 5 Phrase to develop a High-Performance Team and the role of a leader.

5. Workshop Activity: Team Talk Toolbox

A team activity to introduce and practice agile tools set for an agile way of works.

Session 2

Team Agility & Agile Way of Works

1. Session Opening Activity:

From Crawling to Kanban

A mini puzzle game to build understanding on Kanban Board

2. Introduction to Agile Methodology:

A talk on Scrum & Kanban methodology and how to apply them to everyday works.

3. Game Simulation: The Colony:

Steady

A first part of the virtual simulation game, replicating the teamwork within the traditional project management and workflow.

4. Game Simulation: The Colony:

Agility

A second part of the virtual simulation game. Participants play in teams to experience the agile way of works.

5. Workshop Activity:

Retrospective

A team brainstorming activity reflect on the game simulation experience and simulating the practical retrospective meeting.

6. Workshop Summary & Celebration:

The announcement of the winning team from the activities, recapping the learning, and conclude the workshop.

Featured Activity:

“The Colony” Virtual Team Simulation Game

Highly engaging mission-driven simulation game to experience the agile way of works.

★ Learn agile working through a virtual game.
★ Experience the process of building a high-performance team
★ Understand leadership thinking

✓ Participants are briefed on the mission scenarios and goals.
✓ Participants are given tools, resources, and information on how to best play the game.
✓ Split into teams, each team has to plan and manage work together over the set time. (1-4 days)
✓ Based on the result submission, the winning team provides most correct answers and decisions.
